Death Watch was originally created to be two books in one.  If you read the book in one direction, there is a story told through comics; turn it upside down and backwards, and there is a story told through very short prose.  I did this to try and give the story a sense of an eternal loop, a bubble trapped in time.

This is a difficult thing to portray in text-only form, so I've decided to do two transcripts: one for each story.  That way, you can read them in whichever order you like, or read them alongside each other, to try and give the feeling the original paper book had.
